Cabrillo Bridge Balboa Park

November 3, 2008 By larry groff

Painting of Cabrillo Bridge Balboa Park

Cabrillo Bridge Balboa Park
30″ x 40″ Oil on Canvas 8/2008

This painting, of an off ramp from Rt. 163 as it snakes its way through Balboa Park was done from life on site in the late morning light. The tower in the distance is the Musuem of Man. One of my favorite San Diego paintings thus far.

Are you familiar with proposed plans for the Cabrillo Bridge? Your painting with the Quince Street bridge in the foreground could be useful in the effort to preserve the Cabrillo Bridge. Would it be possible to use an image of your painting in some documents, which might be distributed online?
