The gallery I’ve been showing with, The Noel-Baza Fine Art Gallery here in San Diego, lost its brick and mortar space several months ago but has been having success with pop-up shows. In their current pop-up show, I have several painting in their San Diego landscape show “Under the Same Sky” at the San Diego History Center in Balboa Park; a wonderful, large space that is next to their 2015 Centennial Celebration, Masterworks: Art of the Exposition Era, of early California landscapes. It will be up till at least the end of April 2015 if not longer.
I also have a painting, Under Cowles, in the Oceanside Museum of Art exhibition, San Diego Dreaming that will showing until June 21, 2015.
I have a small painting, Trains, in the Oceanside Museum Artist Alliance show in Del Mar Village at OMA/Herbert B. Turner Galleries, Southfair. This Artist Alliance group exhibition was juried by Los Angeles-based art critic Peter Frank and will be up until May 31, 2015.
I also plan to show works in the Small Works Invitational 2015 group show for the Blue Mountain Gallery in NYC, NY this July.
I am eagerly anticipating my travels to attend the JSS in Civita Artist Residency program in Civita Castellana, Italy this summer for 6 weeks. I will be posting more information about this soon. In the next week or so I am planning a fundraising effort to help my site Painting Perceptions as well as my travel to Italy. This crowdsourced fundraiser will involve a sale of many of my paintings from Italy as well as a large body of watercolor and gouache drawings using details from Giotto frescoes as the source of inspiration. Much of this artwork will be sold with dramatically reduced pricing for limited period of time.
