Under the 805
Under the 805, Oil on canvas 36x 48 inches 11/29/09

I think I’ve finished this, at least I plan to leave it alone for awhile. I’ve been working on the the past few weeks, under the 805 where it meets Rt 8 – in the parking lot for Dave and Busters. I am ready to move on to my next project up in the mountains.

  1. Hi Larry! Hope all is well with you. I’m loving your new pieces. How many times on average are you having to go back to complete the 16×20″ paintings? This large piece is fantastic!

  2. Sorry I have taken so long to reply – I’ve pretty much abandoned this website over the past few weeks due to being so busy with a million things. Thanks for you kind words. In answer to your questions – it all depends. Some 16 x 20″ paintings I do in one sitting of course but often times that size such as these Mt woodson boulder ones – take 4 or 5 sessions on site with a few tweaks in the studio on occasion. My big painting, Under the 805 took many sessions over a month or two. On that one I took photos with my cellphone at the end of each session to show the progress. Eventually I will put together a little slide show of how it progressed and let you know when I put it up. thanks for writing Jimmy.
