Welcome to my blog section where I generally show works in progress, smaller paintings as well as some of my just completed larger paintings. The painting section is the best place to see my body of work as a whole but this blog is updated more frequently and sometimes includes brief comments about the work.
I also run a blog called Painting Perceptions, a blog primarily concerned with modern painting made from observation and other issues related to contemporary perceptual painting.
I welcome your comments and feedback.
Wow, I am in awe looking at all your paintings, it somehow changed my view of Mt Woodson. I know Mt Woodson is uniquely beautiful, but I did not know it can inspire an artist to paint it and show Mt Woodson in colors I failed to see. Thank you for leaving me a comment in my blog, I would come here often and be inspired by your paintings.

Thanks betchai, I hiked up the East approach for the first time today (inspired in part by your blog) Very nice, I think I may like the boulders on that side even better but it pretty grueling carrying all my painting gear in the hot sun, I need to leave earlier. The closing of the Lake Poway parking lot at 5:45 really messes with me as well, hardly enough time to get back down the mountain and still catch the late afternoon light. Thanks for your nice comment.

Hey Larry,
I’ve been reading your blog for a while now, then restumbled across your post about John Moore- I had him my senior year(1991/92). And I remember your paintings at B.U.! Amazing stuff. Glad to see you fighting the good fight for figurative and perceptual painting!

I was lucky enough to find your Perceptual Painting site a couple days ago. I have enjoyed checking out both your sites (and your work) and will continue to scour the sites. You have introduced me to several fascinating artists I wasn’t aware of, so I am grateful.
